We inspected a customer’s narrowboat after reports of overheating electrical connections. The existing wiring had poorly terminated connections that caused excessive resistance and heated the cables and terminals during operation. We removed the affected wiring and installed correctly rated cables with secure, professional terminations, ensuring safe and reliable electrical performance. We documented the repair with before-and-after photographs to show the improvements. The upgrade significantly enhances the safety, reliability, and longevity of the vessel’s electrical system.
